The ELTSociety is pleased to announce a one-day workshop focused on classroom assessment for language teachers. This workshop will develop the language assessment literacy of teachers and enable them to be more competent assessors of students’ language learning in the classroom.
This interactive workshop will have a variety of tasks (e.g., reviewing and critiquing tests, analyzing rubrics) for attendees to apply what they will learn about best practices in developing assessment instruments, grading effectively, and implementing fundamental assessment principles in their classes and programs.
Hosts Eddy White, PhD (Associate Professor) & Tahnee Bucher (Assessment Coordinator) are experienced teachers and teacher trainers at the University of Arizona. Most recently, they co-edited the book Classroom Assessment: Challenges, Choices, and Consequences (2020).
